About Me

Hi there, I'm Chris. I'm not a kiwi native but certainly love the way of life here in New Zealand. I was born in Scotland and moved here In 2013. I enjoy most things that New Zealanders do like exploring this beautiful country, snowboarding and hitting the beach after work on those hot summer days.

My Qualifications

I've been trade qualified Since 2006 after doing a 4 year apprenticeship. This included gaining the basic Carpentry & Joinery Qualifications along with the Advanced Certificate in Carpentry & Joinery which helped me pass my Practical Trades Test first time.
After a few years being out on the tools, I went back to the college to study a Construction Management Course which I gained in 2011

Experience

Currently Registered LBP
First aid
Site safe registered.

While working back in Scotland I ran my own building company, working on small to medium sized renovations and picking up a few maintenance jobs for different businesses.
Once I got to New Zealand, I was into the thick of it for the Rebuild. I've completed large house remodeling, re-pilling, new-builds etc.
I enjoy the variant in work and tools used through out the building process which prevents me getting bored of doing the same repetitive jobs.

Tools I Carry

I have most of the tools required for building works. Hand tools and power tools including Drop-saws, nail guns, circular saws, hammer drill, ladders & saw benches
Heavy plant or breakers is something I tend to hire when required.

Tools In The Shed

Additional styles of spades and shovels, rakes etc.
Wheel barrows.
Usually keep this area prepped for jobs requiring a workshop space for manufacture so have various planners, routers, sanders here.

Non Work Interests

When I'm not at work, just getting outside is a bonus for me, wither it be enjoying the mountains for some snowboarding, down the beach chilling out, down at the AMI watching the rugby or even just chilling out on the deck is where you'll fine me.
